This past weekend was my first time traveling back home in awhile and it couldn't have felt like a longer trip. I only live about 1 hour 15minutes away but this trip was the longest thing ever, between the traffic and being cut off to spilling my Gatorade all in my backpack, nothing was going my way. It was getting late and I needed a coffee to help stay alert so I pulled off into the first Dunkin Donuts I saw. I am a big fan of Dunkin Donuts and their iced coffee, however this trip did not come even close to the standards I expect when I go to Dunkin Donuts. First off when walked in I was looked at by about 3 employees and did not receive a greeting or recognition of any kind. after standing at the counter a women looked at me and in a rude tone said "what do you want?" after I told her 1 ice coffee order and waited for about another 10 minutes I received a hot cider of some sort. I confronted her and telling this is not my order and restating my order there was no apologies and I received a response "I didn't make it I wouldn't know." After some more correction, dirty looks, and rude comments I finally got my coffee and left as fast as I could. at this point in my day I didn't even care I wasn't home yet, I was just happy to be out of there.
sorry about what happened. I also has a bad experience with Dunkin I feel like they deal with so many people that they actually get tired of us and give us unnecessary attitude. I feel like they shouldn't have employees working who are rude or give attitude, especially for a MORNING fast food place. They work in the morning when people are usually cranky.
ReplyDeleteI feel as though these kinds of situations occur a lot more often than they should be. Everyone from around here loves Dunkins so you would think they had great customer service since everyone raves about it and still goes back but that doesn't seem to be the case. I think Dunkins employees should think a little more before they decide to be rude. After all they choose to work there and they knew just how busy it would be so they could have avoided it. They all need to fix their attitudes and learn how to make an order right.
ReplyDeleteMore then not this happens to me. Dunkin in my opinion does not have the greatest employees. They just want to get the order done and move on. I have had many different experiences at Dunkin most are not positive. I do have to say that if you write a letter or inform someone that you are not happy for the most part they tried to fix it.
ReplyDeleteI've had similar experiences at many Dunkin Donuts. I never have any problems with Dunkin Donuts in terms of getting my food or the quality of the food, it's always problems with customer service. At many Dunkin's I see young, unexperienced employees who lack interpersonal skills and I think the way to fix this is to have a new wide spread training evaluation or procedure.
ReplyDeleteThats unfortunate to hear. Its always tough when dealing with franchises because it really comes down to the management. I'm sure you know what I mean when I say that it's not all dunkins that are this way but also the fact is that none of the should be. Next time you have a problem find your nearest Dippin Donuts, their iced coffee is way better anyways.
