Ra'mels Positive Experience

When I was a child I would remember my mom bringing me and my family to this seafood restaurant about 45 minutes away from my house. For some odd reason we never went back but I would always remember this restaurant because it has some of the best seafood I've ever tasted. Therefore, I thought about going recently so I went. The restaurant is called Chowder Pot which is located in Branford, CT. When I got there I was seated right away with a nice female server. She brought me back my drink ands some warm bread which held me over till my entre came out. My server would check on me accordingly with a smile making sure I was alright. My entre took about 30 minutes to come out. Well let me just say it was worth waiting every minute. I ordered the seafood fettuccini alfredo. The plate was so full I only ate half of my delicious meal. Once I asked for my check my server brought me wet wipes to clean up, mints to freshen my breath and toothpicks to clean my teeth. I had no choice but to leave  good tip. Chowder Pot treated me and fed me so well there is no reason to not go back soon! 5 stars in my book.

Sam's negative Experience

My family and I decided to go on vacation to Disney a few year ago but we decided to use my aunts time share instead of going to a regular hotel because it was cheaper and different. When we first got there the outside was beautiful and was so tropical. When we got to our room it was very different then a regular hotel room. It was set up like a suite with a kitchen, dining room, living room and three bedrooms with a huge master. My brother and I were excited because the room was giant and there was a patio out back that led us to the pool area. You would think we had an amazing experience but it was far from that. After the first day of being there I don't think I saw one employ walking around or even out by the pool. The room was really dirty from the first day we got there and they didn't have house keeping come to clean our room. We called the front desk several times but they would either never answer or they would say they were bringing something to our room and wouldn't. To top it all off my parents got the whooping cough as soon as we got home which could be just a coincidence but I don't think it was because of how dirty everything was in the room. Overall I don't think I would ever go back to that same resort because of how bad of an experience it was.

Nate's Negative Expirence

This past weekend was my first time traveling back home in awhile and it couldn't have felt like a longer trip. I only live about 1 hour 15minutes away but this trip was the longest thing ever, between the traffic and being cut off to spilling my Gatorade all in my backpack, nothing was going my way. It was getting late and I needed a coffee to help stay alert so I pulled off into the first Dunkin Donuts I saw. I am a big fan of Dunkin Donuts and their iced coffee, however this trip did not come even close to the standards I expect when I go to Dunkin Donuts. First off when walked in I was looked at by about 3 employees and did not receive a greeting or recognition of any kind. after standing at the counter a women looked at me and in a rude tone said "what do you want?" after I told her 1 ice coffee order and waited for about another 10 minutes I received a hot cider of some sort. I confronted her and telling this is not my order and restating my order there was no apologies and I received a response "I didn't make it I wouldn't know." After some more correction, dirty looks, and rude comments I finally got my coffee and left as fast as I could. at this point in my day I didn't even care I wasn't home yet, I was just happy to be out of there.

Cady's Positive Experience

Over this past spring break I was in Orlando, Florida on a trip with my friends. One night we decided to go to Epcot for dinner and ate in Italy at Via Napoli. We had a large group of people with us and they were very accommodating. We decided to split the check into 2 since half of us were sharing one item. This worked out and made things a lot easier. While we were there, they noticed one person in our group had a birthday pin on  and came over with a free dessert and asked if they could sing. I liked how they notice things like that and how they asked if they could sing before hand. Some people do not like to be sang to or to be the center of attention, but lucky for us, our friend did not mind them singing. Over all, the food was so delicious and a great experience.

A Second Visit

Over spring break 6 friends and I were in Orlando, Fl for a few days. We had made a few dinner reservations, but this one was for sure the most different place we would go to. It was called 50's Prime Time Cafe. The theme of the restaurant was set in the 50's and you called your waitress "Mom" and Waiter, "Dad'. I have been there once before and had a great overall experience and my friends were excited.
On my first visit I was reprimanded for having my elbows on the table, not eating my vegetables. When the waiter collected my plate and saw the vegetable and made the whole restaurant, point their fingers and say, “Shame on you. Don’t waist Moms food”.
When we were seated in a corner, the host told us Mom would be right out and to be on our best behaviors. It had really clicked for my friends to be on their best behavior after remembering the stories I had told them from last time. We were all excited and trying not be on our best behavior so "Mom" would say something. The whole meal we tried to get a reaction out of her, but nothing happened. We were all pretty disappointed by the experience.
As for the food, it was just okay, nothing great. The only good part of the meal was the Dessert. We all got milkshakes and they were fantastic. I was so excited to go to this restaurant with my friends and it ended up being a disappointment. I am not sure if I would go back.

Sam's Positive Guest Experience

I have had a few positive guest experiences but the one that stands out to me the most is when I was in 4th grade and we went on a trip to Las Vegas. My aunt and uncle live there so my family and I decided to take a trip to see what Las Vegas was all about. We stayed at Caesars Palace where my uncle was a bellman and saw and amazing show by Celine Dion. The room that we stayed in was amazing and had an incredible view of the pool and downtown Las Vegas. Anything that we asked for by the front desk we received. From the smallest thing being a wake up call in the morning to getting a car service to where we wanted to explore that day they had no problem helping us. The last night that we stayed here all never forget because it was the most exciting part. We got to watch Celine Dion preform in her magnificent show that she use to put on in Ceasars Palace. We had amazing seats and she was amazing to watch. I will never forget this guest experience because it was one that was the most special to me.

Nate's Positive Expirence

Over this past spring break, the lacrosse team and traveled to Orlando Florida. The first night we got there, having no food in the house that we were staying at, we needed to go out to dinner. We decided to do so as a team. Walking in to the Golden Corral with 29 other guys I would expect to ruin any employees day by loading them up with work right before they closed, however that was not the case. The employee at the front counter greeted us with a smile ready and willing to help us. After getting a table which was very clean, the food that we got to choose from had many options, and every single one appeared to be equally delicious. The ones that I had lived up to the appealing visual it gave off and was in fact very good. One problem that I have experienced at other buffet style restaurants is being able to get refills on my drink regularly. However I did not face that problem here having a waiter at the table at the perfect time every time with another drink. After dessert, we were waved goodbye and got into our van. It was definitely a good way to start our trip as a team in Florida.
